Water Heaters

Water Heaters

It is a common scene these days to see modern homes equipped with water heaters. This type of system is used to distribute hot water throughout the house necessary during shower or bath times, washing dishes and even when doing laundry.

The principle behind a water heater or boiler operation is that heat rises. Typical boilers contain steel tanks with capacity to hold water ranging from forty to sixty gallons. The cold water from a well or source is piped into the heater and is heated by a heating element. As hot water rises to the top of the tank, it is sent out to the house through the valves of the plumbing system. When the water heater system is turned off, all the water inside the tank heats up to a certain temperature and stabilizes. Once all the hot water is used, cold water instantly enters the lowest portion of the tank.

There are several types of water heaters. One is the popular option tank water heater that uses gas or electricity power. The newer versions of this system use solar power to heat the water. For tankless water heaters, water is not heated in one go but rather it is heated as it passes through the system.

Water Heater Contractors

Just like any other home appliances, there would come a time where water heaters fail. Fortunately though, these boilers show signs of breakdown before truly failing to operate. Manufacturers recommend that services of water heaters should be handled by qualified water heater contractors as they are educated and trained to work on boilers. So whether for installation, maintenance, or repair of your boiler, contact water heater contractors as they are the best for the job.
